Sam Buca’s was an Italian restaurant on Harlem Avenue in Palos Heights.  They were a long time advertiser in both The Regional News and The Reporter newspapers. Sam Buca’s has closed, and now is home to the Rooftop Tap.

These three ads were designed in a series of nine, using photos from the business Facebook page in order to tie their ads to their actual food instead of using stock images.  Of the series of nine, only these three were purchased and ran in 2014 (11-20 / 11-27 / 12-04) in The Regional News.

These ads were later submitted to the Illinois Press Association in the Best Ad Series Competition.  The series took 4th place in the 2014 Division G competition. Contest entries and winner listings can be found here: IllinoisPress.org
